Walk The World

I have made a bet with my mother, that on my treadmill, I could walk from Yankees Stadium to Dodgers Stadium. It is a distance of 2,809 miles. I plan drinking no sodas, and using portion control in my diet to lose weight. Every day I will walk, and add my distance and tell everyone where I am in my walk. I will also do weekly weigh ins and tell you how much I have lost or gained that week. If I can do this, my mother will purchase tickets to an Dodger's game for my wife and I.

I walked for 15 minutes today, for a distance of .447 of a mile. That brings my grand total to 1.292 miles. It places me on the Major Deegan Expressway. Tomorrow will see me on the George Washington bridge, and it is only 2.3 miles until I cross the state line into New Jersey
